Horometer Privacy Policy
Effective November 3, 2026
What the app stores
Horometer stores the clients, projects, time entries and notes you create, and your settings (such as appearance, rounding and the day your week starts). This data is stored on your iPhone or Mac.
iCloud sync
If you're signed in to iCloud, your clients, projects and time entries sync between your devices through your private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit. That data is stored in your iCloud account and is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to it. Your settings are not synced; they stay on each device.
If you're not signed in to iCloud, everything stays on the device you're using.
Exports
Horometer creates CSV files or copies a report to the clipboard only when you ask it to. Where that file or text goes afterwards is up to you.
What the developer receives
Nothing from the app itself. Horometer has no servers and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code. If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may provide the developer with aggregated, anonymous usage and crash information under Apple's own terms.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device. Data synced to iCloud remains in your iCloud account until it's deleted. You can delete clients and projects in the app, and you can manage or delete the app's iCloud data from your iCloud storage settings (on iPhone: Settings → your name → iCloud → Storage; on Mac: System Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage).
Children
Horometer is not directed at children, and it collects no information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
